ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Autumn Hills provides environmental education through on-site tours and off-site presentations in the local community.
Area Public School students learned about landfills and the importance of recycling by a visit to Autumn Hills. Facility management can also visit local classrooms when time and availability allows.
Waste Management is an annual sponsor of the Michigan Alliance of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) annual conference, providing educational resources to the teachers who attend.
Environmental Education Partnerships
Waste Management is a long time supporter of Keep America Beautiful. Waste Management of Michigan provided financial support for the Michigan affiliate, Keep Michigan Beautiful, to maintain affiliation with Keep America Beautiful. Waste Management serves on the board of Keep Michigan Beautiful.
